General Information and Banquet Policies

Thank you for considering the Golden Oak for your special function. We are committed to your satisfaction in atmosphere, service and cuisine. We look forward to making your event a special and memora6le time. If you are una6le to find a menu to suit your function, our Banquet Manager will 6e happy to develop a menu to fit your needs. Deposits and Payments: A deposit is required to guarantee your banquet or catering reservations. Until a deposit is received, the reservation will be accepted only as tentative. The reservation will only be confirmed after the requested deposit has 6een received and a Golden Oak Restaurant Banquet Contract signed. Tentative reservations may be released if the requested deposit is not received. While every attempt will be made to contact you prior to the release, the Golden Oak reserves the right to cancel any tentative reservation without formal notification. Deposits are refundable only if a function is canceled 90 days or more prior to the event. Unless prior billinq arrangements have 6een made with the Golden Oak Restaurant all estimated catering, service, rental and room charges must be paid by cash, cashier's check or accepted credit card 3 days in advance of the function. Any remaining balance resulting from additional charges will be paya6le at the conclusion of the event.

Guarantee of Attendance: A final count of the total number of people attending your function must be confirmed at least 72 hours (3 working days) prior to your scheduled function. This count must included all guests, plus photographers, D.J.'s, coordinators or other people who will be eating. This number is considered your Final Guaranteed Attendance, not suboect to reduction, for which you willbe charged should less attend. If the final guarantee of attendance is not given by the specified deadline, the initial expected attendance figure will be considered the Final Guaranteed Attendance. Any increase over the Final Guaranteed Attendance will be handled to the best of our ability, and will be subiect to a $4.00 per person surcharge.

Food and Beverage Service and Pricing: Menu selections must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event. The Golden Oak uses current banquet menus and pricing. Pricing for previously booked banquets are guaranteed for ninety-days prior to the function. The Golden Oak Restaurant reserves the right to substitute menu selections to current offerings and / or to increase prices to current banquet prices beyond ninety-days. In the event that price increases or menu substitutions are necessary, every reasonable attempt will be made to provide appropriate notification. Banquets and catering are subject to a 1 7% service charge and appropriate sales tax (currently 8.25). Arrangements for the use of meal tickets, drink tickets or special accounting procedures must be made in advance. California Health Code and Golden Oak policy require that no food or beverage be brought into the facility by the patron, the patron's guests or any outside source. Guests appearing to be under 30 years of age must be prepared to show identification in order to be served alcoholic 6everages.

Responsibilities and Restrictions: The person or organization scheduling an event agrees to assume full responsibility for the conduct of its members or guests, and assumes liability for charges incurred and / or damages caused by these guests. All displays must conform to local fire ordinances. Taping, stapling, nailing or otherwise affixing any decoration, posting or object to walls, floors or ceilings is strictly prohi6ited without prior written approval from the Banquet Manager. Damages resulting from such action will be charged to the patron. The Golden Oak will not assume responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left at or in the Golden Oak prior to, during or following the function. Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the a6ility of Golden Oak management to complete the same, and is violable in the event of la6or disputes or strikes; accidentsi government (federal, state or municipal) requisitions, restrictions upon travel, transportation, foods, beverages, or supplies; and other causes whether enumerated herein or not, beyond the control of the Golden Oak, preventing or interfering with the performance. In no event shall the Golden Oak 6e lia6le for loss of profit or for other damages. Any variation or other changes to any agreement must be made in writing and must be signed by both the customer and Golden Oak management. If an agreement is not signed and received within two (2) weeks from the date of signature by Golden Oak management, the Golden Oak is released from the obligations of the agreement.
